Walking in Denver Inaugural Post

I moved to LoDo 17 years ago and wow has it changed.

About a year ago I decided to combine my fascination with the changing landscape of Denver with a need to exercise.  Ever since then I've been taking "urban hikes" to explore different Denver neighborhoods. I've been kicking myself for not taking pictures all along because so much has changed over the last year.  Today I decided that I will start carrying a camera (ok, my phone) and documenting the changes I see on a building-by-building and neighborhood-by-neighborhood basis.

I envision this mostly being a photo-blog without a lot of commentary bur sometimes I can't help myself from chiming in.  I plan to tag the photos so if you would like watch the evolution of a building over time you should be able to.  In no way do I plan to compete with one of my favorite bloggers, Ken at http://denverinfill.com/blog/.  He provides much more background and intelligent information behind the buildings that I am way too lazy to research.  Instead this is an amateur attempt to share an ongoing photo essay of how much Denver is changing.

I walk solo and with friends.  When with friends we can't help ourselves from stopping in at a local rest stop.  This time we were in LoHi:

I am not a photographer and I'm hoping that my photos won't be horrible and should even get better over time.  We'll see.

If you have suggestions of fast-moving Denver neighborhoods to explore please let me know in the comments.
